BOILER PARTS

The three main parts of a boiler are the burner, the heat exchanger and the storage tank. The burner is the part of the boiler that burns fuel to generate heat. The heat exchanger transfers the heat from the burner to the water in the storage tank. The storage tank is where the hot water or steam is stored until it is needed. There are also a few other parts that are essential to the operation of a boiler. The thermostat is what tells the boiler when to turn on and off. The pressure relief valve protects the boiler from over-pressurization. The expansion tank gives the water somewhere to expand as it heats up.
